Step-01:
Go to the official website of the Department of Food & Public Distribution, click on the Sign-in/register option, and select the public login-in option, given at the top-right corner of your screen.
Step-02:
The system will ask you to enter your login credentials. If you don’t have it, you don’t have to worry about it because you can easily register yourself on this portal to get access to the NFSA ration card portal. To do that, click on the sign-up option as shown in the picture.
Step-03:
When you click on the said option, the one nation one ration card new registration form will appear on your screen. Now you need to provide the required details e.g. Name, Aadhar Card Number, Mobile Number, and residential details. Fill in all the details correctly, and click on the submit button.
Step-04:
After providing the correct information in the registration form, the system will send an OTP on your mobile number that is registered with your aadhar card. Enter the OTP for the verification process, and hit on the submit button.
Step-05:
Your ONORC registration will be completed after implementing the said procedure. Now to get access to the portal, you need to login with the aadhar number. To do that, click again on the sign-in/register option.
Enter your aadhar number as shown below, and the captcha code in the required section. After that, an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number, fill in that OTP in the needed section, click on the USE OTP button, and you’ll have the access to the portal.
Step-06:
Now that you’ve got access to the One Nation One Ration Card portal, let’s move to the step where you need to apply online for the ration card. For that, tap on the Common Registration Facility, and select the new registration option. A pop-up screen will appear that asks you to enter your state name. Do the needful and click on the submit button.
Step-07:
One nation one ration card form will appear on your screen. You need to fill in the information which you want to see on your ration card. First of all, Select the category of your ration card. There are two types of categories on this portal. One is PHH Ration Card, and the other one is AAY Ration Card.
As you know, BPL and APL ration cards are been replaced by PHH ration cards. So if you fell in the BPL or APL category then you can select Priority Household (PHH), otherwise, you can select Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) option. In a similar way, fill in all the required details and click on the save and continue option. Make sure to upload your photo in the news section.
Step-08:
In the next stage, you need to fill in the complete information about your new and old addresses. If your new address is the same as your old one, then put the same address, otherwise enter both new and old addresses in the needed section. Hit on the save and continue button after filling in the correct information.
Step-09:
In this stage, you need to fill in the details that are confidential e.g. your caste, Bank Details, Physical Details, and Gas & Electricity Details. Enter all the details and again click on the save and continue button.
Step-10:
All the details related to the head of the family have been filled. Now follow the same procedure for all the family members by clicking on the Add Member button. When you’re done uploading the family’s data, click on the save and continue button for the next step.
Step-11:
The second last step is to enter the resources you’ve e.g. mobile phone or laptop. We recommend you enter zero (0) in both options if you want to approve your one nation one ration card easily. Hit on the save and continue option again.
Step-12:
The last step is to select your ration card dealer shop where you can visit, verify yourself through fingerprint verification on the EPOS machine, and collect your monthly ration. Make sure to select a ration dealer who’s close to your location.
Step-13:
All done! Your one nation one ration card application process has been completed. A pop-up screen will appear with an application number in it that the system assigned you. Keep it safe to know the current status of your ration card.
NFSA Ration Card Status Check
NFSA’s full form is National Food Security Act. Ministry of Affairs, Food and Public Distribution department that is developed by the government, have launched a scheme named one nation one ration card. With the help of this scheme, the applicant of his family can take their monthly ration from the ration dealer anywhere in the state. - Visit the official website of NFSA, click on the sign-in/register button, and select the Public Log-In option.
- Enter your aadhar number as shown in the picture, the captcha code in the required section, and when you click on the USE OTP button, you’ll get access to the NFSA ration card portal.
- After getting access to the portal, go to the Common Register Facility, and select registration status.

This ration card holds as much value as your physical ration card, and you can get ration at subsidized rates by visiting any nearest fair price shop. Let’s move to the NFSA ration card download process.
- Open the App store on your mobile and type Mera Ration. Download the App and install it.
- When you open the Digilocker app, it’ll ask you to select a language. You can select a language with suits you, and hit on the continue button.
- Now click on the Get Started button, and the app with ask you to provide your login details. If you’ve registered on Bihar Ration Card then you should’ve got the logins of the Digilocker app. If not, then you can hit on the create account option.
- A registration form will open up, and you need to fill it in by providing the required details. Do the needful, hit on the submit button, and your Digilocker registration will be completed.
- Now go to the login page, enter your aadhar card number and the 6-digit code that you choose in the registration process. An OTP will be received on your registered mobile number, enter that OTP in the needed section and hit on the submit button.

What is One Nation One Ration Card Scheme?
The ONORC scheme is aimed at enabling migrant workers and their family members to buy subsidized ration from any fair-price shop anywhere in the country under the Nation Food Security Act, 2013. To promote this reform in the archaic Public Distribution System (PDS) the government has provided incentives to states.

How does ONORC Work?
The ONORC is based on technology that involves all essential details of beneficiaries including their Ration Card, Aadhar Number, and Electronic Points of Sale (EPOS) Devices. The system runs with the support of two portals, one is the integrated management of Public Distribution System (IM-PDS), and the other one is Annavitran.
The IM-PDS department manages all the data regarding the distribution of ration all over India. While the Annavitran department hosts all the relevant data. When a ration card holder goes to a fair price shop, he/she identifies him/herself through biometric authentication on ePOS devices.
If the beneficiary details would found on that device, he/she can get a ration at subsidized rates. They don’t need to show the ration card or give any explanation about anything. Simply, just visit your nearest ration dealer shop, use your finger on biometric devices, and get your monthly ration at subsidized rates.
One Nation One Ration Card Coverage
Till date, almost all the states and union territories have joined this new ration card scheme. Covering about 69 crore NFSA beneficiaries including NFSA ration cards in Gujarat, Delhi, Assam, and many more. According to the Union Ministry of Consumers Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, about 1.35 crore portability transactions every month are being recorded under ONORC on average.
Full coverage of this new ration card scheme will be possible after 100% aadhar seeding of ration cards, and all fair price shops are covered by ePOS devices.
